The null detector comprises a solid state amplifier having output stage with meter indication. The instrument is supplied in metal cabinet with Duco paint & Bakelite front panel. The said detector has been designed for use with AC bridges (replaceable of headphone). While performing the experiment with four arm bridges, bridge oscillators & headphones are required in almost all the four arm bridges. Sometime good quality headphones are not available & also audibility of each student is different from the another That's why teachers are switching to nulldetectorin placeof headphone.

This is entirely self contained with a dry battery 9V and a galvanometer.

Series Arm R; - Consists of four decade resistance dials having equal steps of 1, 10,1 00 and 1000 ohms respectively.

Ratio Arm: -Two ratio arms P and Q have been incorporated in the bridge ranging 1 ohm to 1000 ohms separately selectable.
