This bridge is used to measure the unknown value of capacitance. The instrument has following in built parts fitted in ABS Plastic case.AC Source : The Bridge consist of sine wave signal of 1KHZ. Two sockets are provided for the output of AC signals.

Detector: For detecting small AC signals in the output. Null Detector is in-built

with digital display.

Circuit Diagram: The circuit layout on the board is quite spread out to facilitate

convenient working & clear understanding. 4mm socket are provided for

making connection.

Features:

R2 — Three decade resistance dials having value 10X1000, 10X100 and 10X10 ohms

R1 —Single decade resistance dial having value 10X100 ohms

Cl —Unknown capacitor.

C2 — Two fixed standard capacitors having value 0.01mf & 0.1mf (loss free)

Terminals are provided for external connections to connect unknown

capacitor.

Carey Foster's Bridge Setup is used for the measurement of very Low

resistances, although it can be used to find small differences between

large resistances. It can measure the decimal value of resistance. Our

Carey Foster's Bridge Setup consists of two parts, bridge arrangement

and testing unit.

The Testing unit contains DC Power Supply, Galvanometer and

unknown resistances on a single board. DC Power Supply solves the

problem of discharging of battery or a cell with respect to time which

affects the result. Sensitivity of Carey Foster's Bridge is the same as the

sensitivity of the Wheatstone Bridge as it uses the same fundamental

principle.
