Description

A water molecule (H₂O) is described in school as a bent molecule consisting of one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms, held together by covalent bonds. The oxygen atom is partially negative, while the two hydrogen atoms are partially positive due to the oxygen's stronger pull on the shared electrons. This uneven charge distribution makes water a polar molecule, influencing its chemical properties and the interactions between water molecules
