Description

pH paper is an essential, inexpensive tool used by students to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid by changing color when dipped into a solution. It's essentially paper impregnated with pH indicator dyes. When dipped in a liquid, the dyes react with hydrogen ions, causing a color change that is then matched to a provided color chart to determine the approximate pH value, indicating whether the solution is acidic, basic, or neutral.
